Up In Smoke!

It happened tonight. I was working on my computer, minding my own business when a HUGE explosion ripped through the neighborhood. My doors shook and all I could think about was a car bomb. So sad. After I remembered that I am in one of the safest countries in the world when it comes to car bombs, I then thought of all the mines that are below my building and I prepared to plummet to depths unknown!

I went outside to see if my car alarm was going off with everyone else's alarms and met my neighbor, Mira. I asked her if she heard it and she said, "No, there is a car accident on the street, maybe it was that?" NO WAY I thought, my doors shook.

I few hours later, Mira and her family knocked on my door. "Alice, you were right! The vegetable and fruit shop exploded! It is gone! Many of the windows of the first block of flats are GONE too. Those poor people!"

I am so happy to be in the back of our neighborhood! The shop is only about 200 yards from my house. Just another way that God protects. I guess I will be going elsewhere for my veggies tomorrow. . .
