When it Rains it Pours!

I know that many of you have heard about the floods in eastern Europe.  It has been raining for 4 days in Poland now and even though the rain is not very hard today, the ground is so saturated, it will take very little to have even more flooding. 

One causalty in the flooding is the camp that we are renovating, H2O.  The good news is that none of the important buildings have been flooded, just the swimming pools and the lake.  Please pray for the people in this area.  Some have been cut off by the Wisła river which has risen and even broken through in some places.  (That is how much of H2O's flooding has happened.)  We also have an American group coming later this week to work at the camp.

This is from the second story floor.  the brown building is where the two swimming pools are.  The water looks like the water is about 3 feet from this picture.

This is the lake.   There is a path and then about a foot down until the water normally.  You can see all of the streams of water gushing down.  Above it is our new soccer field we don't know what will happen to it or the watering system we had. . .

This is a different angle of the pool area.    I am not sure if the waters are receeding or if they are still rising.  It continues to rain. 


Please pray that even with this setback, God will be glorified in how we deal with this and how we continue to trust in HIS timing and HIS direction.

Honestly, I ask myself, "What more can happen?", but then I think about the future and respond, "Thank you, Lord for making H2O COMPLETELY about you and your power and not us or our efforts!"  What a story it will be a few years down the road when campers come and ask how this camp got started! 

Please pray for wisdom and for the Sunriver Church who will be working at the camp this next week.  Also, please pray that the rain will stop and that we will be able to dry out in time for all of the groups who are coming to help renovate.

I am in no danger of the water.  My flat is on a hill.  I have so far heard that none of the JV missionaries have been harmed, it is just hard to get around in some of our areas.
