The Latest Picture

Liam is getting a bit better, but he is still on iv's and needs to prove that he can eat on his own. My brother is doing a GREAT job taking care of both his wife and his new son. David (the first son) has been spending time with my parents and myself. We have been having a good time, but David is needing mom and dad and normalcy. We hope that this will happen on Monday. :)

Still Waiting

We are still waiting for Liam to come home.  He is still having some feeding issues.  We hope that Monday or Tuesday will the dates!  Thanks for praying.  Please continue!

Merry Christmas!

Yesterday we got one of the GREATEST Christmas present ever!  William Dan Robbins was born on the 23rd at 7:19 at 7.1 lbs and 18 1/2 inches long.  I was at the hospital to welcome this wonderful little one into the world!  He is not eating well, so he cannot come home yet, so we hope that mom, dad and "Liam" will come home together tomorrow!

This precious birth reminds me of one over 2000 years ago a baby being born in Bethlehem.  The Heavenly Father sent his Son to earth to be born, live and die for the sins of mankind.  This is the season to celebrate and remember God's sacrifice for our lives!  Thank you, Father!

Goin' to the Hospital

I am on my way to the hospital to wait for the birth of my new niece or nephew! I am so excited! I hope that it will happen today, but who knows. . .

Please pray for my brother and sister-in-law as well as for B-Rob 2.0!

An Early Christmas Present

For those of you who know me, you know that I love watching the Denver Broncos play football. My friends gave me a great gift on Sunday by giving me one of their tickets to see the Raiders game. Even though the Broncos lost, I had the time of my life there! It was so much fun spending the afternoon with Pat and watching my team play! Here are a few pictures:

Gospel Choir

I just found footage of part of the Gospel concert the other night. If you look in the upper right corner, you will see Laura Hash singing her socks off! It was a GREAT time! Not sure why it is so fuzzy. They were using a good camera. . . maybe this is from a different one. :)

The soloist sounded like he was from Brittan. What a night! Poles DO have rhythm! Next time, I want to do this!! :)

Śwęty Mikoaj Dzień

Yesterday was Poland's St. Nick's day. Kids get special gifts from parents and family. Today I was having coffee with a fellow missionary friend while her toddler played noisily in her room. Then it got quiet. . .

A few moments later Hannah came out with her face full of the play makeup her Polish aunt gave her for St. Nick's day. Note to self: if I ever have a niece, do NOT give makeup to her until her mom says it's okay!

Let His Name Be Praised!

There is a hunger here in Katowice for Gospel music! Last night the Luthern Church was filled to the rafters with peiple who love this style of music. My prayer is that the truth of Jesus will be heard along with this wondrful style of music!

It was great to hear both English and Polish Gospel music. It was also fun to watch my teammate, Laura enjoy herself in the choir!

Are You A Barrel Man?

As I was reading one of Denver's TV channel's web pages, I read that the Denver Bronco's Barrel Man died today. I know it is a strange thing, but The Barrel Man was like family to those of us who have been die hard Bronco's fans for the last 30+ years. I grew up watching him get the whole Mile High Stadium screaming to distract the visiting team. He was like the cool uncle you loved but never really knew.

As I read the article, it dawned on me. HE LOVED THE BRONCOS. No one really knows his name, but they know that he was and forever will be THE BARREL MAN. I then started to ask myself, "Am I known as a "Barrel Woman" for Jesus?" No, I would not wear a "barrel for Jesus", but do people know me because I am American in Poland, or do they know me because they know my love and devotion to my Lord? (I know this is a very basic question, but today, I need to ask basic questions to myself.) When I go home to Denver for a visit in a little over a week, will my church and family know me for being a missionary in Poland, or will they know me for my love and devotion to Jesus?

What about you?

Thanks Barrel Man for the great years of fun and thank you God for the questions you challenge me with!

LIfe is Getting Fast!

I just looked at my calendar and it hit me, I will be going home for Christmas in just 11 days! During that time I am taking my Polish driving test, trying to pass a Polish test, finish my support letter, get prayer cards made, finish our new English/Sports Camp handbook, meet with my girls as many times as I can, get ready to MC our MOOSK Christmas meeting and get my place and car ready to be without me for a month.

Whew! I think I am tired already!

Please pray for me during this very busy 11 days!

Thanks!
