I Lost a Incredible Woman of Faith Today

image_18-2006-05-6-16-20.jpg

What a woman of God! This is my Grandmother, Isabel Krieger (with my brother).

She passed into Heaven this morning. I can just see her walking hand in hand with my Grandpa, singing praises together to the creator of this world. She was the last of those who so greatly influenced my life when I was a child.

This incredible woman prayed me to the mission field! As much as it hurts to be in the Czech Republic (I am at a Josiah Venture Conference), I know that she would say, "Stay there and do what you are doing for the Lord! I am with your Grampa and I am happy!" She is also with all of the dear people whom she loved and grew up with, along with my Uncle Renold David. What a reunion that must have been!

She went the way she wanted to. Went to bed and woke up in Heaven. I will reflect more on this PILLAR of FAITH in the next few days.

I learned so much about life and love and trust in God. I will never forget the lessons that I learn from her.

Thank you God for the heritage that You provided for me!

PS My mom was scheduled to fly today to come and see me. She got on the plane and we will be able to mourn and celebrate together tomorrow! It is only fitting that we celebrate her life in a foreign land. I am trying to figure out how to tangibly celebrate her life while I am here in Prague after I pick up my mom.

Alice,

My condolences on the loss of your Grandmother. She was a wonderful lady. I have no doubt that when she got Home this morning, she was greeted with "Well Done, my good and faithful servant." I love you guys and am praying for your family.

Love,
Crystal

I just ran across your blog today, as I was searching for other bloggers in Poland, and I also would like to express my sympathy on your loss. I'm thankful for you that your mother is going to be with you at this time. God Bless you both!

Hey Alice ...
I drove by Sunrise the other day and thought of your Grandma. I hope you and your mom are enjoying celebrating her life together. I'm glad she lived to see you go overseas.
Talk to you soon -

You are fortunate to have known your grandmother. There are many who have not had such an opportunity.

May you grow as old, my dear.
Your mother too.
