New Year's Weekend
Happy New Year! Well, I know it is a few days late. I spent the new year up in the snowy mountains new Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
When we got to the cabin, there was around 5 feet of snow. The neighbor said that the mountain had recieved over 9 feet of snow from Thanksgiving to Christmas! When we were there, we got over a foot of snow. It was wonderful!
We cleared the front porch and as you can
tell, it was A LOT of snow! The door
was completely covered!
It will be a long time until I get to spend time with my brother again, so this was a special time
for both of us. It was great!
My brother is a very special person in my life. He is my best friend.
It was hard to say good-bye to him at the airport.
This is my brother, Bill and his girlfriend, Donna. I was glad to get to know her more before I left.
I had to get a picture with Donna. Oh, and my Polish hat! I was going to give it away, but I needed something for this trip and it really kept me warm! So, I am keeping it.
Look at this SNOW! It was so thick and yet some spots were were so powery, that my snowmobile got stuck and I had to CRAWL to the other one so that I would not sink to my chest in snow! It was crazy!
Here is my other brother,
(no blood relation. . . long, great story) Chuck
and my sister-in-law, Nicole. We had a
great time just enjoying the snow and each other. Look at those snowflakes!
Bill and Chuck reacting to something I can not remember. . . maybe it was the girl's chick flick between all of the football games. . .
Here is Tia! I love this dog!
This is Cane. He loved trying to play with Tia. She is just too old to put up with this puppy. Yes I said puppy! His other eye by the way is crystal blue.
Chuck and Nicole!
Bill!
Donna and her snowmobile!
Yes it's me having a GREAT time!
And finally the gang! What a great way to say good-bye to Colorado and these wonderful people.
